Home Manager Responsibilities:
- Staff Supervision & Leadership
- Supervise and schedule Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
- Conduct site visits across all shifts
- Lead house meetings and ensure policy compliance
- Manage individual and home budgets
- Handle shopping and receipt reconciliation
- Maintain adequate supplies
- Provide person-centered support
- Implement and monitor Person-Centered Support Plans (PCSPs)
- Ensure accurate documentation (daily notes, eMAR, outcomes)
- Training & Development
- Train staff on care plans and protocols
- Ensure all certifications and onboarding requirements are met
- Evaluate and coach staff performance
- Community Integration & Independence
- Support individuals in community activities and employment
- Operations & Emergency Response
- Maintain home safety and cleanliness
Qualifications
- Must have a Diploma/GED
- Have a valid TN Driving License
- Be at least 18+
- Strong judgment and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Compassionate approach to personal care
- Comfortable interacting with diverse individuals
- Basic computer and administrative skills
- Adaptability and strong problem-solving in dynamic settings
- Ability to de-escalate behavioral situations
- Have a valid TN Driving License
- Be at least 18+
- Ability to lead and motivate direct support staff
- Experience with scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Conflict resolution and team-building skills
- Strong time management and multitasking
- Accurate record-keeping and documentation (e.g., eMARs, daily logs)
- Budgeting and financial oversight for home and individuals supported
- Deep understanding of individualized support plans (PCSPs)
- Commitment to promoting independence and community inclusion
- Empathy and respect for each person’s unique needs and goals
- Calm and decisive in emergencies or behavioral incidents
- Available on-call 24/7 to respond to urgent needs
