Engineering Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead a core engineering group and drive technical direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple teams of engineers, ensuring delivery on business priorities
• Provide technical direction and drive architecture decisions, particularly with Kubernetes (EKS)
• Collaborate with stakeholders to shape the engineering roadmap and instill best practices

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an engineering management or director role, managing teams of 5 or more engineers
• Recent hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Familiarity with React and TypeScript for supporting frontend work
• Practical experience with AWS services including Lambda, ECS, and EKS
• Experience in leading large-scale refactoring efforts and balancing improvement with velocity
