GIS and Carbon Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a GIS and Carbon Calculation Specialist for ARR and REDD+ Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct GIS analysis to identify suitable sites for ARR and REDD+ projects
• Perform carbon stock assessments and calculate potential carbon sequestration
• Develop and maintain spatial databases for project sites and monitor land use changes

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Forestry, or a related field; Master's preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in GIS analysis and carbon calculations
• Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and remote sensing tools
• Strong skills in carbon modelling and familiarity with carbon accounting standards
• Understanding of environmental policies and climate change mitigation strategies
