Healthcare Privacy Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Privacy & AI Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the legal partner to product, data, and security teams, ensuring compliance with HIPAA/HITECH and state privacy statutes
• Advise on the adoption of AI technologies and ensure legal compliance in product builds that leverage AI/ML
• Draft and manage legal documents such as BAAs, DPAs, and incident-response plans

Required Qualifications

• JD and active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 5+ years of experience in privacy, data security, and/or healthcare technology
• Deep knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and state privacy statutes
• Experience with AI risk-management frameworks and drafting relevant legal documents
• Preferred certifications include CIPP/US, CIPM, HCISPP, or CISSP
