Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lab Billing & Coding Representative.

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve Lab-related CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 inquiries for internal and external parties
• Edit laboratory test charges to ensure appropriate coding and modifiers are applied
• Research and resolve billing reports and work queues related to registration errors and claim edits

Required Qualifications

• Understanding of medical terminology and patient registration
• Knowledge of insurance eligibility and payer rules
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory guidelines for billing
• Experience with electronic medical record systems and Lab Information Systems
• Ability to work collaboratively with various departments to resolve billing issues
