Infrastructure Design Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Infrastructure Design Engineer to design, implement, and maintain data center infrastructure remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create layouts for data center infrastructure, including facilities structure and equipment
• Perform capacity planning and resource allocation to ensure scalability and efficiency
• Monitor and optimize performance of infrastructure components to meet SLAs and business requirements

Required Qualifications and Education

• Strong knowledge of data center architecture and design requirements for networks, compute, and storage
• Proven experience in a colocation or telecommunications facilities engineer role in a large-scale environment
• Solid understanding of physical design standards and IT security best practices
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software for designing data center layouts
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSE, VCP) are a plus
