Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer for a long-term contract role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate design solutions by utilizing inputs from Engineering and Project teams
• Develop testing documentation and perform scoping analysis for design options
• Interface with junior engineers and subcontractors, providing direction and mentoring

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of five years of equipment/component design experience
• Experience with 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks
• Experience in finite element stress analysis and mechanical analysis methods
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
