Infrastructure Design Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Infrastructure Design Engineer to work remotely in the Seattle Time Zone.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create layouts for data center infrastructure, including facilities structure and networking equipment
• Perform capacity planning and resource allocation to ensure scalability and efficiency
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance to meet service level agreements and business requirements

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of data center architecture and design requirements for network, compute, and storage racks
• Proven experience in a colocation or telecommunications facilities engineer role in a large-scale data center
• Solid understanding of physical design standards and IT security best practices
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software for designing data center layouts
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSE, VCP) are a plus
