Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Quality Systems Specialist to design, implement, and deliver training programs on aerospace & defense and medical device quality standards—specifically AS9100 and ISO 13485. In this role, you will work directly with small manufacturers and individual trainees at our CNC manufacturing facility, ensuring they develop robust, compliant quality management systems that meet industry and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive training curricula for AS9100 and ISO 13485 quality management systems.
- Conduct gap analyses and help trainees assess current quality processes against standard requirements.
- Lead interactive, hands‑on workshop sessions covering:
- Quality system structure and documentation (manuals, procedures, work instructions)
- Internal auditing techniques and audit planning
- Corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes
- Risk management and continuous improvement processes
- 5s implementation
- Provide one‑on‑one coaching and support to small manufacturers building or upgrading their own QMS.
- Oversee implementation projects, track milestones, and help prepare organizations for third‑party certification audits.
- Develop training materials, job aids, and evaluation tools to measure learning outcomes.
- Ensure all training activities comply with Lark Industries’ safety protocols and customer contractual requirements.
- Report program progress, effectiveness metrics, and certification readiness to leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (required).
- 3–5 years of experience implementing and auditing quality systems preferably AS9100 and ISO 13485.
- Certified Lead Auditor for AS9100 and/or ISO 13485 (preferred).
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management, and CAPA processes.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple training projects and deliver engaging, practical workshops.
- Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
