Lead Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Accountant to oversee accounting activities and lead a team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and fiscal year-end accounting close activities to ensure compliance with GAAP
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and coordinate audit activities
• Coach and mentor team members while serving as a subject matter expert for new initiatives

Required Qualifications

• At least 7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial controls
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications
