Lead Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Data Engineer (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of data engineering solutions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Oversee engineering data initiatives, supporting long-term projects and ad-hoc analyses, while applying transformation and loading techniques
• Develop and maintain infrastructure systems, including data warehouses and access APIs, while enforcing best practices for data management

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• 8 years of experience in leading data engineering teams and implementing ETL/ELT solutions
• Hands-on experience with application development, relational database layout, and data modeling
• Knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python), as well as cloud technologies and data warehouses
• Familiarity with data architecture standards and healthcare interoperability standards
