Legal Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Legal Analyst & Researcher for a part-time, temporary role.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth legal research related to insurance claims and civil litigation
• Analyze court decisions, statutes, and legal commentary to identify relevant patterns
• Summarize case law and assist in annotating legal documents for machine learning datasets

Required Qualifications

• Current law student (2L or 3L) or recent graduate from an accredited law school
• Access to Westlaw or LexisNexis through an institution
• Interest in legal technology and the intersection of law and data science
• Available to work 10 - 20 hours per week
• Prior exposure to insurance law or claims litigation is preferred
