Life Insurance Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Life Underwriter to analyze and evaluate life insurance applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess life insurance applications with face amounts up to $1,000,000
• Gather and verify necessary information for underwriting requirements, including medical reports and investigations
• Prepare data and reports for the Medical Information Bureau and support contract change and reinstatement underwriting

Required Qualifications

• 2-year college degree in Finance, Business, or Economics
• 1-2 years of experience in the life insurance industry
• Knowledge of life and annuity sales is strongly preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Ability to work well in a team environment and demonstrate proactive skills
