The Project Manager will oversee the implementation of key organizational projects, initiatives, and events by coordinating internal and external teams to ensure successful execution. This role encompasses planning, design, development, and implementation of all California project-related activities. The Project Manager will handle projects of varying complexity, exercising independent judgment with supervision. This position provides administrative and operational support to the Managing Director.
Job Responsibilities
- Guide cross-project collaboration throughout the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization and planning to execution and post-implementation review
- Oversee the contractor selection process, including RFP preparation, submission evaluation, selection committee coordination, and service agreement implementation
- Maintain productive relationships with contractors and employees, ensuring terms and goals are met
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of assigned projects and initiatives
- Create and manage project budgets with appropriate cost and quality controls
- Establish project management procedures, policies, and record-keeping systems
- Develop project schedules with clear milestones, tracking progress and expenditures
- Provide timely status reports and updates on all projects under management
- Assist with grant application processes, ensuring compliance for awarded funds
- Maintain project status information across organizational systems and platforms
- Arrange meetings and travel for the CA Managing Director, teams and contractors
- Work with the communications team on organizational messaging related to projects
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Managing Director
- Perform additional duties as assigned
