Job Summary
A company is looking for an Insurance Specialist to manage patient insurance information and verification processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial, insurance, and demographic information for patients
- Obtain and confirm benefit, co-pay, deductible, and co-insurance information prior to patient discharge
- Resolve issues related to insurance accounts, including determining primary insurance and COB information
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Two years of experience in healthcare insurance eligibility, verification, or billing
- Knowledge of insurance coverage, COB rules, and processing procedures
- Experience with insurance payor systems
- EPIC training and ICD-10 medical terminology experience preferred
