Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter - Temporary (Remote-US).

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite all first and second mortgages in compliance with guidelines and policies
• Review and evaluate loans for data integrity and monitor the mortgage pipeline for process improvement
• Collaborate with vendors and management on audit preparation and departmental projects

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of four years of experience in a credit union, bank, or financial institution
• Hands-on experience with Encompass within the last 12 months
• Detailed knowledge of secondary market guidelines and some knowledge of regulatory issues
• Compliance with Mortgage Loan Originator requirements set forth in the SAFE Act
