MySQL Support Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a MySQL L3 Support Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform database administration, including tuning, backup, and disaster recovery planning
• Monitor database performance, efficiency, and availability proactively
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in MySQL database management with hands-on experience in recent versions
• Experience with MySQL's underlying storage engines such as InnoDB and MyISAM
• Knowledge of MySQL Replication and experience with Group Replication or InnoDB Cluster
• Familiarity with other databases (SQL and NoSQL) such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Understanding of limitations of MySQL and ability to identify workarounds compared to other relational databases
