New York Licensed Highway Design Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Highway Design Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee technical excellence and coordination of engineering functions across projects
• Provide design leadership and mentor junior engineers on roadway design projects
• Prepare comprehensive design and construction documents and assist in project management

Required Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 8+ years of relevant work experience in roadway and highway design
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required
• Proficiency with MicroStation v8i and Geopak; experience with Civil3D and ORD preferred
• Familiarity with industry practices and regulations, especially with NYSDOT and NYCDOT
