Job Summary
A company is looking for a DME Clinical Advisor to ensure the delivery of medically appropriate durable medical equipment, orthotics, and prosthetics while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex clinical reviews of rehabilitative DME, orthotics, and prosthetics based on established standards and guidelines
- Provide guidance to medical directors on medical necessity determinations and participate in interdisciplinary care management rounds
- Develop and deliver training sessions on DME regulations and collaborate with care management teams to ensure appropriate care
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech Therapy required
- A minimum of four years of direct patient care experience focused on rehabilitative DME or a related field
- Utilization management experience is preferred
- Current, unrestricted state license as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech Therapist is required
- MCG Certification is required within 6 months of hire
