Outpatient Coding Compliance Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Coding Compliance Coordinator (remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist coders and documentation management staff with complex patient care cases by analyzing documentation and code assignment
• Review medical records for coding errors and opportunities for education
• Serve as a technical expert for staff and external customers on coding standards and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• University Degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience (experience may substitute for education)
• Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CPC-H
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Health Information Management program is preferred
