Outpatient HIM Coding Educator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIM Coding Educator - Outpatient.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide training, education, and mentoring to the outpatient coding and CDI teams
• Evaluate and deliver comprehensive training programs based on end-user needs
• Perform coding quality chart reviews and deliver reports for informed business decisions

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate degree in health information management or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of five years of outpatient facility coding experience
• Certification as CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H, CPC-P, CIC, or COC required
• ICD-10, ICD-10 PCS, and CPT coding and auditing experience required
• Preferred dual certification as RHIA or RHIT
