P&C Underwriting Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Manager, P&C Underwriting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the underwriting unit, ensuring compliance with guidelines and timely processing of applications
• Monitor productivity and adjust assignments to meet service-level agreements while providing coaching and training to underwriters
• Develop relationships with marketing departments and facilitate input to Actuarial on pricing and products

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of insurance industry experience
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in underwriting, risk management, business, or related field preferred
• Leadership experience preferred
• Professional designations such as ALMI, FLMI, FALU, or CPCU are preferred
• Ability to work full-time in an office environment
