Job Summary

A company is looking for a PES and Environmental Charges Expert.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight on the feasibility study for Payment for Forest Environmental Services (PfES) and the assessment of forestry fees and charges
• Compile and ensure the quality of final documentation for the entire set of tasks and deliverables
• Engage with government institutions to assess current practices in fee collection and management in the forestry sector

Required Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in natural resource management, climate finance, or a related discipline
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in forestry, natural resource management, or related to PES design and sustainable financing
• Full proficiency/working knowledge of English
• Experience in advising governments and development agencies in forestry and climate finance
• Familiarity with PES schemes, biodiversity offsets, or REDD+ finance
