Policy Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Policy to advocate for policies supporting distributed energy resources and energy-efficient technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory filings, legislative actions, and media for policy developments related to solar and sustainable home improvements
• Collaborate with lobbyists and external stakeholders to develop compensation programs for distributed energy resources
• Represent the company with regulators and government officials, providing policy analysis and communication on opportunities and risks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, or a related field (Master's preferred)
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in public policy related to clean energy or equivalent education and experience
• Background in utility regulation and experience in regulatory proceedings
• Strong interest in the intersection of energy, sustainability, and governmental programs
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions
