Principal Algorithm Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Algorithm Development Engineer (Hybrid/flexible).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and integration of insulin therapy optimization algorithms into pump platforms
• Own the technical implementation of algorithms across research and commercial codebases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with design control and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field (Master's with exceptional experience may be considered)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in algorithm development in medical device settings
• Proven experience in the medical device or healthcare industry
• Proficiency in analytic and modeling tools such as Python, R, or MATLAB
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, C#, or Java
