Principal Engineer, Transmission

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Engineer, Transmission & Interconnection.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects through the interconnection process from inception to Commercial Operation in various ISO markets
• Perform power flow, stability, and short circuit studies for project prospecting
• Negotiate interconnection study results and agreements with utilities to achieve favorable project outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years of experience in interconnection, project development, or transmission planning
• Deep understanding of CAISO & WECC utilities tariffs and interconnection processes
• Experience in developing relationships with utilities, consulting firms, and regulators
• Strong capability in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with power system software
• Preferred Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Electric Power Systems Engineering and/or MBA
