Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Software Engineer - Storage Network Protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements analysis, design, and reviews for platform and operating system expansion
• Develop and deliver features for communication protocols such as NFS, SMB, FTP, and SAMBA
• Debug issues reported by customers and collaborate with support on escalations

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with large scale, highly available distributed systems or cloud services
• Extensive experience in C and C++ programming
• Deep understanding of object-oriented design and SDK development in both on-prem and cloud environments
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multi-threading, and Linux operating systems
• Experience in technical team leadership and mentoring
