Regulatory Affairs Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Regulatory Affairs Director to lead engagement with utility regulators and shape a favorable regulatory environment for wildfire detection technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regulatory strategies to promote AI-enabled wildfire detection technology
• Build and maintain relationships with regulatory stakeholders and represent the company at industry events
• Support the Utility Sales team with regulatory insights and customer education materials

Required Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, energy policy, or utility operations
• Direct experience with state Public Utility Commissions or federal energy regulators
• Proven track record of successful regulatory advocacy
• Strong knowledge of utility regulatory frameworks and market drivers
• Familiarity with wildfire mitigation planning processes is preferred
