Reinsurance Senior Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Reinsurance Senior Financial Reporting Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and document technical accounting matters related to reinsurance under various frameworks
• Analyze accounting treatments for new and complex transactions and their impact on financial statements
• Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and reporting schedules as part of the accounting close process

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 3+ years of experience in reinsurance accounting for life and annuity products
• Solid understanding of accounting principles for life insurance and annuity products
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and footnote disclosures
• CPA or CPA-eligible preferred; other relevant professional designations are a plus
