Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist (remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve physician claim denials through root cause analysis and follow up with payers for timely reimbursement
• Examine and analyze denied and underpaid claims, drafting and submitting technical appeals as necessary
• Maintain knowledge of regulations and payer-specific requirements while documenting all activities accurately

Required Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in revenue cycle management (RCM), specifically in collections
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, modifiers, and diagnosis codes
• Experience in writing appeals and understanding the appeals process
• Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in Excel for detailed reporting
• Knowledge of state and federal billing guidelines and reimbursement methodologies
