Arizona Licensed Infection Preventionist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Infection Preventionist.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct surveillance for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and prepare reports for the Infection Control Committee
• Make recommendations for infection control measures and assist with policy evaluations
• Provide education and training on infection control to staff and assist in epidemiological investigations

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license with BSN preferred, OR Masters in Public Health (MPH), OR certified medical technologist, OR a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field
• Minimum of two years clinical experience in a hospital setting or disease surveillance experience in a public health setting
• Must achieve Certification of Infection Control (CIC) within six months after required experience
• Active Basic Life Skills certification required for those in acute or ambulatory job locations
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required for specific behavioral health settings
