Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Founding Backend Engineer (US).

Key Responsibilities

• Refactor and build backend infrastructure using Python (FastAPI) and manage APIs for iOS applications
• Integrate AI and ML systems, managing databases and pipelines for personalization and emotional intelligence
• Oversee AWS infrastructure, DevOps practices, and ensure system performance and observability

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in backend or full-stack development
• Experience shipping production backends in high-growth startups
• Proficient in Python and modern infrastructure, with experience in .NET
• Experience with LLM-based products, particularly in emotional and personalized systems
• Strong understanding of systems thinking and infrastructure management
