Schmidt College of Medicine seeks a highly skilled and motivated faculty member at the rank of Professor to serve as a Chair of Population Health. The Chair will bring energy, passion, and a team-based, multi-disciplinary approach to advance scholarship, research, education, and community engagement in population health. We are looking for candidates who will leverage our institutional expertise in data analytics, the population of our community, and the resources of our community-based medical school to drive innovations and meaningful scholarship and research. The ideal candidate will have an established track record in bringing together the requisite knowledge from many disciplines to deliver the highest level of healthcare impact and achieving optimal outcomes through interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration. The Chair will set the standards for intellectual engagement and academic excellence, ensuring the department’s success across research, education, community engagement, and clinical initiatives. We are seeking someone with visionary thinking and a passion for advancing scientific knowledge and healthcare delivery, and the transformative use of healthcare technology such as artificial intelligence in public health and clinical care.A primary mission of the Schmidt College of Medicine as a community-based medical school is to advance the health and well-being of our community by training future generations of clinicians and scientists and translating discovery to patient-centered care.
