Collection Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Collection Specialist / Pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure daily activities align with company goals for cash collections and accounts receivable over 90 days
• Research outstanding balances and take necessary collection actions, including negotiating payment plans
• Review insurance remittance advices for accuracy and resolve billing errors, overpayments, and unpaid claims

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college is a plus
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in medical collections with knowledge of managed care and insurance reimbursement
• Familiarity with automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ preferred
• Knowledge of basic accounting practices and medical coding (ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
