Consumer Loan Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Consumer Loan Underwriter I to evaluate loan applications for quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications based on credit history and client guidelines
• Monitor and support the quality and efficiency of loan applications processed by Contact Center Representatives
• Provide support and training for Contact Center representatives and assist with problem resolution

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred
• 1 year of experience as a Lending Underwriter required
• 1 year of Contact Center experience in a loan position preferred
• Knowledge of Lending Underwriting best practices and loan application processing
• Demonstrated understanding of credit and lending, including risk assessment skills
