A company is looking for a Crisis Support Specialist to join the Maine Crisis Line team.
Key Responsibilities
- Build rapport with help seekers by showing empathy and creating a safe, non-judgmental space
- Complete risk assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of callers experiencing a crisis
- Develop crisis stabilization plans with callers, utilizing clinical support for the least invasive interventions
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree is required
- One year of relevant experience is preferred, including work in behavioral health or human services settings
- Ability to earn the MHRT-CSP certification within 30 days of employment is required
- Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment is a plus
- Must pass a criminal background check and meet other compliance requirements
