Job Summary
A company is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer SME who provides technical and management leadership for mission-critical cybersecurity efforts across classified networks and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical and strategic lead across cybersecurity initiatives supporting system accreditation and continuous monitoring for classified systems
- Lead or support RMF-based Authorization & Assessment (A&A) activities, documentation, and eMASS packages for DoD systems, including Government cloud environments
- Drive vulnerability remediation across cybersecurity tools and interpret results within mission and risk context
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, Engineering)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or information assurance, including direct RMF, ATO, and vulnerability management responsibilities
- Deep experience with DoD RMF, NIST 800-53, ATO processes, and secure system engineering
- Experience with cybersecurity operations and tooling across hybrid and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAM Level III certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CASP) preferred
