Job Summary

A company is looking for a Counsel to join their Legal team, focusing on Payroll & Team Management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and advise cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, focusing on payroll and employee-related products
• Provide practical legal advice on various issues, including regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and contracts
• Stay current on laws impacting the platform and ensure compliance in marketing and customer contractual inquiries

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school with active state bar membership
• 5-10 years of legal experience, preferably in-house with a payroll or HR service provider
• Deep expertise in product, regulatory compliance, privacy, and consumer protection laws
• Proven experience advising product teams and managing complex customer negotiations
• Knowledge of multi-state employment laws and advertising law compliance
