Key Responsibilities
- Guide and advise cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, focusing on payroll and employee-related products
- Provide practical legal advice on various issues, including regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and contracts
- Stay current on laws impacting the platform and ensure compliance in marketing and customer contractual inquiries
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school with active state bar membership
- 5-10 years of legal experience, preferably in-house with a payroll or HR service provider
- Deep expertise in product, regulatory compliance, privacy, and consumer protection laws
- Proven experience advising product teams and managing complex customer negotiations
- Knowledge of multi-state employment laws and advertising law compliance
