Junior General Ledger Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Junior General Ledger Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries in the general ledger system
• Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 0-2 years of accounting experience, ideally in a general ledger or government contracting role
• Basic understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) is a plus
• Coursework or internship experience in corporate or federal accounting is helpful
