Lead Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end and quarter-end closes
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations related to payroll accounting
• Act as the primary liaison for external audit inquiries related to payroll general ledger

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance and 5+ years of relevant work experience
• 5+ years of experience in Financial Operations, Cost Management, and General Ledger Month-End Close
• 5+ years of financial statement audit experience
• CPA preferred or in progress; government contracts experience is highly preferred
• United States citizenship required
