Job Summary
A company is looking for a Long Term Disability Claims Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise and support in reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, processing, and adjudicating Long Term Disability claims
- Communicate ongoing status and decisions both in writing and verbally
- Authorize appropriate payments or refer claims for validation of adverse or over limit approvals
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Currently employed within UHC Consumer Operations
- 1+ years of experience with Long Term Disability claims, including reviewing and rendering initial liability determinations
- 1+ years of experience issuing monthly payments on Long Term Disability claims
