Job Summary
A company is looking for a Mainframe Software Technical Support Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Mainframe Software products, resolving customer issues efficiently
- Act as a first-level interface with customers, analyzing documentation and recreating errors as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues and engage Sustaining Engineering for complex problem resolution
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- 5+ years of related experience in a Mainframe environment
- Experience with z/VM Operating System and Mainframe Architecture
- Knowledge of Assembler language and experience with automation scripts
- Familiarity with IBM's VMSES/E and guest operating systems supported by z/VM
