Massachusetts Licensed Substance Use Counselor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Substance Use Disorder Counselor, Onsite, Hybrid, or Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in both individual and group counseling sessions
• Plan, oversee, facilitate, and document patient's recovery
• Evaluate patient needs and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are needed

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a relevant field or specific credentials (CAC, CAS, CADC, CRC, LADC, LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT)
• Bachelor's Degree holders without credentials are encouraged to apply if committed to obtaining required credentials within 30-60 days of employment
• Degree must be in psychology, social work, or related health services field from an accredited college or university
• Relevant experience and knowledge in addiction recovery and/or medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
• Experience in behavioral health counseling; individual and group facilitation
