Medicare Billing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medicare Billing Specialist to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of Medicare claims processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and resolve unpaid or underpaid Medicare insurance claims, including remit and EOB review and rebilling claims
• Utilize analytical skills to determine root causes of underpayments and follow documented policies to remediate issues
• Maintain positive relationships with clinical personnel and payer representatives while ensuring timely resolution of claims

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote
• Computer competency, including typing and basic troubleshooting
• Experience in healthcare or insurance revenue cycle is preferred
• Experience in insurance claim collections is a plus
