Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and resolve accounts by contacting third-party payors and patients, ensuring timely account resolution
• Document account activities and maintain productivity and quality standards while managing a set number of accounts
• Assist with special projects and communicate findings to management, while attending training to enhance job knowledge

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business administration or accounting preferred
• 1-4 years of medical claims and/or hospital collections experience
• Basic computer skills with the ability to navigate various system applications
• Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute
• Understanding of the revenue cycle process and familiarity with insurance types such as Commercial, Managed Care, Medicare, and Medicaid
