PostgreSQL Database Administrator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Database Reliability Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Own, investigate, and resolve production issues related to PostgreSQL
• Collaborate with developers to debug and enhance Postgres-related application performance
• Maintain and improve PostgreSQL infrastructure, including performance tuning and upgrades

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL in on-prem production environments
• Strong understanding of SQL performance, query optimization, and execution plans
• Experience managing high-availability setups and disaster recovery for Postgres
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools, especially Terraform and Salt
• Comfortable collaborating with software engineers to troubleshoot database issues
