Job Summary
A company is looking for a Precertification Specialist who will manage precertification requests and provide customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle high volumes of inbound calls from healthcare providers and patients while ensuring excellent customer service
- Accurately enter and review non-clinical and structured clinical data into the system database
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations and manage documentation workflows
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a medical office, precertification, or healthcare support role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of diagnosis and procedure codes
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn internal systems
