Job Summary
A company is looking for a Supervisor, Prior Authorization Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and supervise daily operations of the prior authorization process and staff
- Ensure compliance with formulary changes, regulatory requirements, and effective training for staff
- Evaluate and improve the PA process for efficiency and accuracy while managing a team of up to 30 individuals
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent required; associate degree or 2 years relevant experience preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience in pharmacy, nursing, or managed care is highly desirable
- Retail pharmacy experience and knowledge of the PBM industry is desired
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred
- Experience in staff management and development is essential
