Substation Designer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Substation Designer to join their team remotely in the US.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare design drawings and technical documentation for high-voltage power delivery projects
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop substation layouts and ensure compliance with standards
• Maintain organized drawing sets and support junior drafters with best practices

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certificate in drafting preferred
• Three or more years of substation or electrical utility drafting/design experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or MicroStation required
• Experience with PLS-CADD, Revit, or other 3D design tools is a plus
• Knowledge of electrical equipment and utility substation standards preferred
