Job Summary
A company is looking for a Surgery Scheduler (Patient Affairs Coordinator II) to support their Surgical Oncology team.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between patients and physicians for non-clinical issues
- Coordinate calendars, schedule surgical procedures, and verify documentation
- Answer patient calls and perform a range of high-level administrative duties
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a healthcare setting
- Bachelor's degree and/or EPIC experience is highly preferred
- Expertise with MS Office Suite applications
- Broad knowledge of medical practice front office operations and medical terminology
- Familiarity with insurance plans, ICD-10/CPT coding, and prior authorization requirements is a plus
